Joking aside:-) Syria is under the Shia, as is Southern Iraq. With nukes, Iran annexes Southern Iraq, and Syria via the 230km chokepoint through Mosul. A Greater Iran/Shia controlled Islamic Crescent, will have more oil than the Saudi Arabians and Gulf States combined, and will have direct access to the Mediterranean.
Now that Assad has so clearly demonstrated his useful ruthlessness, Assad, China and Russia, will share in the plunder of a Greater Iran.
