What follows are two videos that popped up on YouTube over the past week.
The first, a Jew hating screed by a protester at the Occupy Wall Street protests shows what we are up against. Watch and try to find any difference between what this man says and Nazi propaganda.
The second video is Pat Condell's latest video.
When I first became aware of Pat Condell's videos several years ago, I was frustrated. On the one hand, he clearly understood the threat to freedom posed by Muslim supremacists. On the other hand, he was anti-Israel.
In the video below, Condell defends Israel against its detractors. The reason it is important is not so much for what he says, although, as always he makes a compelling, eloquent case. The reason it is important is that it shows that the war of ideas is important, and we can and will win it.
Not all people who oppose Israel are brain dead, evil Jew haters like the leftist in the first video. Some are amenable to reason and willing to reassess their views in the face of fact and reality. They are the people we need to reach and we can reach them.
We can win this war against evil. It is a hard fight, and often a frustrating one. But it is the moral and existential battle of our times and therefore we are both obliged and privileged to be on the side of good.

There is absolutely no question that antisemitism is not only alive, but doing better than ever. That we Jews must stop hiding and hoping that if we say nothing it will go away is a given. We've tried all the concessions, all the apologies, all the complacency and have gained nothing but disdain and total disrespect. It's time to fight for what is legitimately ours including the right to exist on our terms.
Thanks for posting the videos Caroline. G-d bless people like Pat Condell and yourself for the courage to speak the truth. We should all take a lesson from this.
Condell's video hits the reason for the stalmate on the head. IRRATIONAL HATE!
Luckily for the Arabs the Israeli's are reasonably enough to put aside their emotions and to conduct themselves (in most cases) like rational adults. A behavior, I might add, we have short supply of in DC.
We fight, because there is no choice.Whether few, or many, realize it, Israel and the Jews are on the frontline of Humanity and Civilization against the Barbarians and anyone who associates and placates them.
As an atheist I like Pat Condell and when ever I have a video I put him on my facebook. As a matter of fact, Richard Dawkins had a fair interview at Bill O'Reilley. I think atheists, jews and christians should ally against the politico-military doctrine of islam.
