This week on the Tribal Update, the television-on-internet media satire review produced by Latma, the Hebrew language, satirical media criticism website I run, we bring you an interview with the IDF commander who was tasked with planning a rescue mission for Gilad Schalit. We also feature an interview with pop star Aviv Zefet describing the personal sacrifice he had to make due to Schalit's return home. And that's just for starters.

I hope you enjoy the show, post it on your blogs and forward it to all your friends.

How did it happen in such a short time that Israel has become so stupid to not have the sense to defeat Hamas ?

This suicidal stupidity has infect the whole nation.

We are now accepting donations to assist in raising Israel up from the dregs of stupidity and to teach the nation once again the concept of defeating ones enemies not appeasing them and making them fatter and more capable in their aim to kill more civilians.

Please send support to the Fund For Israel's Return to Sanity.

Caroline, it gives me much pleasure and satisfaction to support your ongoing efforts to perpetuate the truth. I only wish it could be more. Every week I look forward to the newest episode and am never disappointed. Your "joke" at the end was hysterical. Thanks Latma team for a job well done.

For those who believe the infinite wisdom in Washington DC, has Israel's survival at heart.
Here IS ONE former cia agent commenting on Obama's attitude towards Israel and more specifically AIPAC:

Romney seems to believe that we should turn over our foreign policy to Israel:

Can't understand why people keep citing Hillary as a great white hope candidate of some kind. She would be completely bought and paid for by the Lobby, even worse than Obama who at least privately hates them.

Phil Giraldi makes an interesting point....

I think Obama does privately hate them, and yet....

Irony alert....

Caroline, that was hilarious. I've been reading your conventional wisdom journalism pieces for a while, but never knew you were involved in satire. Thanks for a good laugh. I'd like to re-post this on my website.

Tzipi Livni.....Ha Ha Ha HAHAHA..a great joke!!

I would like to mention another consideration.Israel has to unequivocally claim Jerusalem in toto as its capitol, denoting the legality in International Law and any other treaty, agreement, or established legal entity in relation to military successes, and I mean completely. It has to be a firm and solid argument once and for all. There must not be any question as to Israel's claim.I say this, because it could be used as an excuse to attack from domestic and external terrorists and countries.
The fact, that most countries in the ME are in a state of turmoil without stable, and/or, legitimate governments in place, can cause Israel extra headaches as it must already realize. The attacks, daily,on 'settlements' must also cease, immediately. We have to control the language. These are not 'settlements'.They are lands captured in '67 from Jordan, which was never recognized as legally occupying those lands.Use the PA/PLO's arguments against them.
If they want to try to undermine Israel's legality, and return to '67, or '49, let's aggressively remind them of the historical truth. Then, it all pops out. They chose this tactic and strategy,so let's catch them in their own web.In the meantime, the generations, whose ignorance is fed by propaganda and lies, will learn the true and factual history.
I realize, you are doing this, but the Israeli government must be convinced to do this, now, before another war breaks out. The PM must understand this psychological prepping is as important as practicing militarily. It's an inherent component.

I've enjoyed Latma for quite a while now. It is important to get the media attention onto Pakistan and keep it there. For that purpose, the Baloch people in Pakistan are being killed constantly (Amnesty and others are well aware of this, it doesn't suit their slant to allow the media to publicize it.

On that note, let me tell you a story...

Once upon a time a "drone" went missing and then turned up in Iran (which they are going to copy), let's look at what we know. Here (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4159091,00.html) is the Ynet story on the drone, as shown by Iranian TV. Now, that aircraft DID NOT fall from any altitude or out of control, did it? So it crashlanded, yes, but out of control or shot down, no - no chance.

Ok, let's look at that, if the CIA were sending drones into Iranian airspace, it would be at altitude, no? The damage demonstrates that the airframe was not involved in an explosion, nor was it involved in a high-altitude/high-speed accident (if it came down from either it would be fragmented).

So, that leaves two places the airframe could have crashlanded, albeit under control. Given the cost of these things, that makes sense, get it down in the best condition possible and then pick it up, no? But someone beat them to it. That could only be in Afghanistan or Pakistan, as ANY landing site in Iran would be out for obvious reasons (better to crash than land intact in Iran).

Now, does anyone really think that that airframe (fairly large, bit distinctive too) was freighted through Afghanistan, past numerous checkpoints? No? So that leaves Pakistan, with the event happening at some undisclosed time in the past couple of weeks...

Maybe even about the same time as the high-intensity firefight between Pakistani and US forces, that saw airstrikes on two Pakistani Army Bases? NATO doesn't make such mistakes, Pakistan maybe, but hitting a single base, across a National border, manned by your allies? An accident, OK.... Two such accidents in one night? Something smells a little funky

Couple that with Pakistan stating quite openly that it provided the Chinese Government with multiple parts of the 'stealth' helicopter that landed outside Bin Laden's compound and something smells really, really bad

But we'll finish our story another time... Suffice to say that a little birdie told me that the exiled leader of the Baloch is quite happy to recognise Israel in return for support... But that is a whole nother story
